Persian Noodle Soup (Ash Reshteh)
The word ‘Ash’ is used to describe a thick soup and ‘reshte’ means Persian noodles. In Persian cuisine we have many varieties of Ash (over 50!) but Ash Reshte is the most popular across Persian households. It is also the chosen soup that is served during the festivities leading up to Nowruz (the Persian New Year).
Made with noodles, chickpeas, beans, fresh herbs and Persian soured yoghurt, this soup is thick, creamy and intensely aromatic. Ash Reshte is rich in nutrients and a satisfying meal by itself.

INGREDIENTS
Chickpeas, Pinto Beans, Green Lentils, Onion, Garlic, Salt, Turmeric, Persian Noodles (Enriched Flour, Wheat Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid and Enzymes, Water, Salt, Preserved with less than 1% of 1/10 Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate), Kashke (Yoghurt), Veg Bouillon (Salt, Vegetable Oil (Palm, Sunflower), Potato Starch, Sugar, Maltodextrin, Yeast Extract, Flavourings (Celery), Carrots (2.4%), Onion Powder (2%), Spices (Celery Seeds, Turmeric, Pepper), Parsley), Water.

For allergens, see ingredients in bold. Produced in a kitchen that handles nuts, traces may be present. May contain sulphites.
STORAGE
Keep frozen below -18°c. Once defrosted store below 5°c. Should this product defrost, keep refrigerated and eat within 48 hours. Follow the hob or microwave guidelines but cook for 6 minutes, stir, then 2 minutes.
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
Best cooked from frozen. Cooking appliances vary, this is a guide only. Ensure that food is piping hot before serving. Do not re-heat.
HOB FROM CHILLED
Allow to defrost. Empty contents into a saucepan, put on a medium heat and bring to the boil before serving.
MICROWAVE FROM FROZEN
Remove outer packaging. Pierce film lid. Heat on full power for 9 minutes (850W). Peel back film and stir through. Re-cover. Heat on full power for 2 minutes (850W). Stand for 2 minutes.
