Creamy Barley Soup (Soup-e Jo)
This delicious mixture of Persian ingredients is comfort food on another level. Bursting in flavour, Soup-e Jo is happy food and what’s more is it’s good for you! It’s smooth and it’s creamy and it’s oh so satisfying (especially during those cold winter nights!).
Want to make it extra traditional? Add a dash of fresh lemon juice when serving.

Keep frozen below -18°c. Once defrosted store below 5°c. Should this product defrost, keep refrigerated and eat within 48 hours. Follow the hob or microwave guidelines but cook for 6 minutes, stir, then 2 minutes.
Best cooked from frozen. Cooking appliances vary, this is a guide only. Ensure that food is piping hot before serving. Do not re-heat.
HOB FROM CHILLED
Allow to defrost. Empty contents into a saucepan, put on a medium heat and bring to the boil before serving.
MICROWAVE FROM FROZEN
Remove outer packaging. Pierce film lid. Heat on full power for 9 minutes (850W). Peel back film and stir through. Re-cover. Heat on full power for 2 minutes (850W). Stand for 2 minutes.
